Birmingham Wire Gauge

El sistema Birmingham Wire Gauge (abreujat com BWG) és una norma emprada per especificar el gruix (diàmetre) del filferro o fil de coure, tires i tubs metàl·lics, adoptat a Gran Bretanya a partir del 1884 i utilitzat posteriorment per estandarditzar les mesures.[1][2]
Conversió entre BWG i polzades[modifica]
A cada valor BWG li correspon un cert gruix expressat en polzades. La correspondència entre BWG i el diàmetre expressat en polzades (in) no és lineal i pot ser expressada a través de taules, com aquesta mostrada a continuació:[2]
