Do not confound it with the RSSAM established in 1924, which was only an "autonomous" republic, part of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. The "union" Moldovan republic, the RSSM, was only established in 1940, after the annexation of Bessarabia by the Soviet Union. Thanks. Anatol (disc.) 08:27, 8 gen 2013 (CET)
