Grignard és un cràter d'impacte situat al voltant del pol nord lunar, al nord-est del cràter Sylvester (que posseeix un diàmetre de 58 km) i directament adjacent al cràter Hermite (amb 104 km de diàmetre). El nom del cràter va ser adoptat en 2009 per la UAI en memòria del químic francès Victor Grignard.
El cràter té forma el·líptica, amb l'eix major orientat en adreça nord-est-sud-oest, amb els trets principals del seu relleu pràcticament destruïts per impactes posteriors. El pendent del talús interior és relativament suau, i l'altura del brocal sobre el terreny circumdant és d'uns 480 m.[1] El volum del cràter és d'aproximadament 90 quilòmetres cúbics.
La plataforma interior del cràter roman gairebé sempre a l'ombra a causa de la seva proximitat al pol nord lunar.
