- The mobile web interface no longer suggests HiDPI thumbnails. This is to take up less bandwidth on slow or expensive connections. [1]
- The search engine on wikipedia.org has been updated. [2]
Changes this week
- Wikimedia has a new backup data center in Dallas. Because of planned work on this, you will be able to read but not edit the wikis for a short period of time on both 22 March and 24 March. This could be postponed to April 18. You might lose edits if you try to save during this time. Because of a test, there will also be a couple of minutes where you can't edit the wikis on 15 March starting 07:00 UTC. You can read more about the server work. There will be more notifications and updates about this.
- Administrators and other users with advanced permissions will need to have an 8-byte long passwords. This change takes place on 15 March. Users with too short passwords will be asked to change password the next time they log in. This was decided in a discussion on Meta and is because they can use tools that can hurt the wikis. [3]
- The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 15 March. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 16 March. It will be on all wikis from 17 March (calendar).
- The buttons in interfaces will be simplified. Instead of white, red, green and blue buttons, in future there will only be white, red and blue ones. [4]
Meetings
- You can join the next meeting with the VisualEditor team. During the meeting, you can tell developers which bugs you think are the most important. The meeting will be on 15 March at 19:00 (UTC). See how to join.
- You can join the next meeting with the Architecture committee. The topics this week are backlog and thumb API. The meeting will be on 16 March at 21:00 (UTC). See how to join.

Viquiprojecte:Dia de la Poesia 2016
[modifica]Ep Yeza!
Salut! --Pau Colominas (t'ajudo?) 13:35, 27 març 2016 (CEST)

- @Discasto:: recupero i aclareixo.
Si no puedes o no te apetece, buscaré a otro viquipedista. Saludos --Discasto (disc.) 11:19, 19 jul 2016 (CEST)

- The sorting of Notifications into the two fly-out menus is going to change on July 5 to 7. Bundled notifications should be easier to explore and mark as read individually. [91][92][93]
- From 29 June git.wikimedia.org (running Gitblit) will redirect all requests to Phabricator. The vast majority of requests should be correctly redirected. [94]
- Catalan and Polish Wikipedias will have Wikidata descriptions added to articles in the mobile view by default. This is currently a beta option for the mobile versions. This might come to other wikis later. [95]

Recent changes

Problems
- On 5 July Wikimedia Commons had problems and could not be edited for 20 minutes. For a short while after that the recent changes log and some gadgets were not working properly. It affected administrative actions on other projects too. [107]
- Users who have multiple unread notifications can mark them as read by visiting Special:Notifications page on their wiki.
Changes this week

Bon dia, unes quantes preguntes!

Jo estic disposat a renunciar-hi i no sé si arribaria als mínims, tinc altres articles pendents. Com tu vegis! --Xavier Dengra (MISSATGES) 16:13, 8 nov 2016 (CET)
No passa res. Petons i abraçades i moltes gràcies. --MarisaLR (disc.) 18:22, 14 nov 2016 (CET)
D'on ho has tret? Salut. Papapep (disc.) 12:33, 11 nov 2016 (CET)
WAM Updates for top contributors
[modifica]Hi! Thank you for participating in Wikipedia Asian Month (WAM). You are receiving this email because your number of contributed articles is in the global top 20 - congratulations! We have just received confirmation that the Wikimedia Foundation will allow our global top 3 participants to pick a free t-shirt from the Wikimedia Store. Here are the rules for getting a free Wikimedia t-shirt:
- A participant's article count is combined on all language Wikipedias they have contributed to
- Only Wikipedia Asian Month on Wikipedia projects will count (no WikiQuote, etc.)
- The global top 3 article count will only be eligible on Wikipedias where the WAM article requirement is at least 3,000 Bytes and 300 words.
- Please make sure your articles fulfill the rules, such as proper references, notability, and length.
- International organizers will double check the top 3 users' accepted articles, so if your articles are not fulfilling the rules, you might be disqualified. We don't want it happened so please don't let us make such a decision.
- The current top 3 article counts are 46, 38, and 37. (Nov. 10) Can you beat them?
- There are also some updates for organizers that you may interested to know:
- We will allow 2 Wikipedia Asian Ambassadors on a Wikipedia if the top 2 contributors to WAM each have more than 30 accepted articles.
- Additional souvenirs (e.g. stickers and bookmarks) will be giving to Ambassadors along with their certificate.
- Feel free to contact me at my Meta talk page for any questions regarding WAM.
Best Wishes,
Addis Wang

Re:Quin sustu!
[modifica]Hola Yeza. Moltes gràcies per avisar-me.

[modifica]Bona tarda Yeza,
estic intentant veure la classificació del Asian month i em surt tota l'estona "Error 500 System.ArgumentException."
Et convido a participar, i a apadrinar, si ho creus convenient, alguna categoria específica.
