Yay VE initiative!

[modifica]

Hi guys, thanks again and best of luck for your current "use VisualEditor!"-drive. I noticed this, while rearranging the main page my edits got lost. I'd like to invite you to add them back, mainly because the newsletter is an important initiative and getting a monthly update translated in your language looks like a quite sensible thing to suggest to users here; but also because you actually have a feedback page, Viquipèdia:Editor visual/Comentaris, which is orphan. So it's ok if you don't want to use it, but the centralized place to get attention to issues is the feedback page on mediawiki.org, not the enwiki one. Thanks! --Elitre (WMF) (disc.) 11:40, 6 des 2014 (CET) - attn User:Kippelboy :)[respon]

Also, if someone could please clean up the Comentaris page from off topic comments. Thank you! --Elitre (WMF) (disc.) 10:32, 8 des 2014 (CET)[respon]
Fet Fet! :-) --Davidpar (disc.) 20:47, 9 des 2014 (CET)[respon]
Awesome! --Elitre (WMF) (disc.) 11:58, 10 des 2014 (CET)[respon]

Davidpar, it seems to me that some translation work is needed. Even the interface messages are not fully translated, and other important documents like the user guide are only partly translated or they don't even exist. I think that it is crucial for the success of your initiative that people can learn how to use VE or how to add TemplateData information to templates in Catalan. I have prepared the following table for your convenience. --Elitre (WMF) (disc.) 13:05, 10 des 2014 (CET)[respon]

VE content to be translated: Catalan Completion Outdated
Interface* 67% 4%
User Guide 27% 16%
TemplateData help 0% 0%
Portal (low priority, some content is available locally) 0% 0%
FAQ (lower priority) 0% 0%
TemplateData overview (lower priority) 0% 0%
* The interface is hosted at Translatewiki.net; you'll need an account if you never translated there before. The other pages are at Mediawiki.org, for which you can use your regular Wikipedia account.
