We have been working on Scribe over the past months. Scribe is an addition to the editing interface of MediaWiki, that eases new users into creating new Wikipedia articles. Scribe’s focus is to teach new editors the importance of references and following the Wikipedia standards. Find more information on Scribe here: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Scribe

It is currently deployed on test Wikipedia: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Scribe_V2.0_-_Desktop_Demo_.webm

Scribe lets an editor select from a list of suggested sections, which are based on the existing articles in your Wikipedia.

Then, Scribe suggests references from the web for each section, based on the existing references in your Wikipedia.

We have developed Scribe as a gadget that does not interfere with your usual editing flow. We are currently looking for feedback, therefore we would like to deploy the extension on Catalan Wikipedia.

We are running a first trial, in which we would offer a list of < 200 articles in a red links list (it would something like this: Usuari:Frimelle/Scribe-redlinks), which can be created with Scribe for testing purposes. The gadget is not enabled by default and would only work on the list of articles provided in the red links list.

Would you be interested in offering Scribe to editors on your Wikipedia and use it to give us feedback on its usability?

Scribe permet l'editor seleccionar d'una llista de seccions suggerides, que estan basades en els articles existents en la vostra Viquipèdia.

Després, Scribe suggereix referències de la web per cada secció, basant-se en referències existents en la vostra Viquipèdia.

Hem desenvolupat Scribe com un giny que no interfereix amb el vostre procés normal d'edició. Ara estam cercant retroacció, ja que voldríem instal·lar l'extensió a la Viquipèdia en català.

Estam fent la primera prova, en la qual oferirem una llista de < 200 articles en una llista d'articles en vermell (serà qualque cosa com això: Usuari:Frimelle/Scribe-redlinks), que poden esser creats amb Scribe per provar-ho. El giny no estarà habilitat per defecte i només funcionarà en els articles en vermell de la llista proporcionada.

Estaríeu interessats en oferir Scribe als editors de la Viquipèdia i donar-nos retroacció de la seva usabilitat?
