Johnius borneensis és una espècie de peix de la família dels esciènids i de l'ordre dels perciformes.
Morfologia

[modifica]Els exemplars immadurs prefereixen menjar crustacis, mentre que els adults es nodreixen de peixos.[6]
Hàbitat
[modifica]És un peix de clima tropical (30°N-36°S, 32°E-155°E) i bentopelàgic que viu entre 0-132 m de fondària.[4]
Distribució geogràfica
[modifica]Es troba des del Golf Pèrsic fins al sud de la Xina, Taiwan, Nova Guinea i el nord i el nord-est d'Austràlia.[4][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31]
Ús comercial
[modifica]Es comercialitza fresc i en salaó.[32]
Observacions
[modifica]És inofensiu per als humans.[4]
