Meuschenia scaber és una espècie de peix de la família dels monacàntids i de l'ordre dels tetraodontiformes.[1]
Morfologia

[modifica]A Nova Zelanda és depredat pel gall de Sant Pere (Zeus faber).[4]
Hàbitat
[modifica]És un peix marí, de clima temperat i demersal que viu entre 20-200 m de fondària.[2]
Distribució geogràfica
[modifica]Es troba a Nova Zelanda[5][6][7] i Austràlia (des del sud d'Austràlia Occidental fins a Nova Gal·les del Sud i Tasmània).[2][8][9][10][11][12]
Observacions
[modifica]És inofensiu per als humans,[2] tot i que li agrada mossegar els dits dels submarinistes.[13]
